The Spine

this large mountain range scales almost all of the left side of the Empire. Many think that if you go into the Spine, you won't come out. True, it is very dangerous, but it is not un-frequent for people to make it out.

Du Weldenvarden

this is the large forest where the elves live. It is also home to the mating places and egg laying places for the dragons.

The Hope Road

this is where children are paraded past the dragon eggs, that are destined for a Rider, in hopes that the egg will hatch for one of them

the Stone Of Broken eggs

this is a very sad and mournful place. during the war between the dragons and elves, the elves ambushed the female dragons and their eggs here, breaking all the eggs. Some think that if/when Saphira will lay an egg, she will come here to lay it. You can occasionally see shards of broken eggs laying around.

Ura'baen

this is where the king himself takes shelter with his dragon.

Carvahall

this is a tiny little town along the edge of the Spine. This is where both Eragon and Saphira were raised.

Gil'ead

this is where most of the king's army resides. This is also where the main jail in the Empire is.

Dras-Leona

this is a terribly evil city where the Ra'zac live. In this city is Helgrind, the terrible church-like tower where it's prisoners never come out, not even their bones. The walls oh Helgrind and smooth and impossible to climb.

The Hadarac desert

this large desert takes up almost all of the Empire. A few little cities reside here, but not many.
